Scanable ID tags are available for all current members.  On entering the Fitness Center, simply stop at the information desk and scan the barcode on the back of your card.  Your picture will appear on the computer screen behnd the desk.   Current member pictures will be framed in blue or yellow.  Members with photos framed in red should contact a Fitness Team member immediately.

Will I need to carry my Fitness Center ID in the Fitness Center?

One of the great things about our scanable cards is the photo.  Having this photo available means that your Fitness Team no longer needs to see identification to know that only our members and guests have access to the facility.  Additionally, in case of medical or other emergency, the Fitness Team will be better able to respond to individual needs.

How do I make a service appointment?

Are there rules for attire?

Members and guests are required to wear shirts at all times while in the lobby, on the fitness floor, and in class areas.  Tank tops are allowed but must cover the entire chest and back.  Athletic shoes must be worn in the fitness area and open-toed shoes/flip-flops/sandals are not permitted.

What is a typical workout like?

A typical workout is composed of four parts: warm-up/cool-down, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and strength training, and a final cool-down.  Using a combination of fitness modalities and techniques each member will enjoy a personalized fitness program.  Anti-bacterial solution and paper towels are available to wipe down machines before and after use.  Water in an enclosed plastic container is the only beverage allowed on the exercise floor.   And importantly, for member safety, all free weights must be returned to the racks at all times when not in use.  For your safety, we ask that you do not set them on the floor, lean them on the machines or against the walls.

Because our membership is limited to Federal employees and contractors, we are not open to the general public.  The SNFFC, Inc. guest policy allows for limited one week visits, and all visitors must make advance request to enter and use the facility.  Visitors will be required to complete the same Waiver of Liability as all SNFFC, Inc. members.
